Famous dive only 10 minutes away by boat in the channel north of Thudufushi. A peculiar bank of white sand hide a spectacular underwater landscape. Since its position in the middle of the pass it’s possible to spot any kind of fish.
Due to its position in the middle of the channel, you can encounter any kind of fish during your dive. At the right time good chance to see Mantarays.
tamala Thila
This dive site is located in the middle of the South Pass of Thudufushi close to the island. Several caves and long hovering covered in soft corals give shelter to any kind of colorful fish while outside the caves huge schools of trevally will be awaiting for you. It’s not rare at the end of dive to sight of manta and eagle rays.
Several Overhangs covered with colorful Softcorals. Overhangs and a small Canyon provide shelter for shrimps and morays. Big school of Trevally and swarm fish are waiting in the Blue.
dega Thila
3 deep pinnacles and a Ghiri(shallow reef) connected by a saddle. With its caves and cracks it’s the dive of choice for photographers. Huge school of fusiliers and clouds of glass fish.
thudufushi Thila
North of the island. This dive is characterized by big boulders surrounded by elegant butterfly fishes and white tip reef sharks.
If you are lucky eagle rays, and grey reef sharks. During the Manta-season a good chance if the current is in the right direction.
